Were you at work today wishing it were Friday already?
I'M NOT!!! I would love to tell you that I quit my full-time job because I won the lotto or because I had such incredibly fast success in my fitness business that I was swimming in money and didn't see the need for another job. BUT that's not quite the case.
The truth is, I was let go!!! For the first time in my life. It's a hard pill to swallow and a pretty big blow to the ego. BUT the beautiful truth is...I'm FREE!
Remember when Aladdin gave the Genie his freedom??? YES! That's what it actually feels like!
Thankfully, I have a fitness business that I had been building in my spare time to fall back on and things will be FINE here! I can still pay my bills and decide where to go from here. Instead of jumping into a JOB that means nothing to me, doesn't fulfill me, or help the world in any way, and being STUCK...I get to dig deep and figure out WHAT I WANT and HOW I WANT to achieve it. I'm also counting it as a blessing...and trying to follow God's will for my life. I know it wasn't what I was doing!

I don't have to spend my life making someone else rich. I get to know every day that my boss appreciates me because I'M MY BOSS! I appreciate myself A LOT! In fact, I can't live without me! And for the first time since ending my Army career, I feel like a have a CAREER as opposed to a job and that I'm where I belong!

I could go on and on to discuss how I felt in the business world, and the difference between working for a money and working for YOURSELF, truly changing lives and helping people! But that's probably a given to most of you as I know most people are only working for a paycheck, not doing what they feel called to do.
Transition and change are always a little hard even when they are for the better, so prayers are always appreciated.
