I received an email from a recruitment agency over the weekend asking me if I'd complete a questionnaire for them about "what do employees want from their employer". From my own experiences the number one thing an #employee wants from their #employer is #equality
A #jobtitle or #jobrole does not make you more or less of a person, they're just what they are, a job title and a job role.
I've been in circumstances where #management has had a #family matter or made a mistake which has ended up costing the company #timeandmoney and they just get told "don't worry, it's ok", whereas an employee with a "lower" job title or less of a job role immediately has pressure put on them for missing time off work, their pay docked, disciplinary action for costing the company money, been ridiculed by management for making a mistake and so on.
You're immediately putting yourself above your workforce purely because of your job title or job role. This creates dissension, loss of respect and leads to loss of morale amongst your workforce.
A job title doesn't make you more or less of a person, and if you show your workforce that everybody within the company gets treat the same regardless of job title or job role you'll find you'll create a greater sense of unity and togetherness amongst them which will in turn create a much #happier #workenvironment for the employee and employer. And what's a #happyworker ? A #productive worker 👌🏻👍🏻
