♥️22yrs and he still takes my breath every single time I see him. We both have variations of that “artistic temperament” but he puts up w/me anyway. He tries harder than anyone I’ve ever known to do what’s right. His main goal in life is to please the Lord. How someone can get better & better everyday & younger by the year is beyond me. But, Steve Eager does!♥️ #oldmoneycorp #weddinganniversary #22yrs #betterwithage #lovemoretodaythanyesterday #jewelrydesignerlife #husband #takesmybreathaway #simplethingsinlife #nothingisordinary_ #designerschoice

Hello friends!  I’ve had this IG account since 2012, and I have never formally introduced myself and shared my story!  So here, in a nutshell, it goes:  I’m originally from upstate NY, and grew up playing in the woods, with an amazing family who always supported & encouraged my creative passions.🙏🏽✨I’ve been making jewelry as long as I can remember.  As a kid, I made clay beads, and mined crystals.  As a teenager, back in the 90s, I made hemp necklaces with glass beads, and sold them at Phish shows. 🐠🎶 My artistic journey began with glass work, making jewelry, marbles, pipes, and other sculptures with a torch.  I went to Arizona State University, where I was introduced to metal smithing, and was hooked. ⚒ I also studied Lapidary (cutting & polishing stones) at the Mesa Art Center, and discovered the Tucson Gem Show, which I have been attending ever since.💎 I transferred to the Savannah College of Art & Design, where I finished my MFA in Metals & Jewelry, with a minor in Product Design.  Right out of College, I landed my dream job, designing accessories for @freepeople 💃🏼 and made the move to Philly! 🥨 In my year at FP, I learned a ton about the fashion industry, product development, and working on a creative team.  In 2009, I decided to go out on my own, and started ADORN.  Adorn Boutique was a beautiful bohemian shop in then up and coming, and now trendy & gentrified Fishtown neighborhood of Philly!  In this space, I surrounded my jewelry collections with specials things: crystals, clothing, accessories & gifts, that I sourced in my travels, and handpicked from other designers I loved. 💕✨ We had a workshop in the back, where we crafted the jewelry.  While running my retail business, I also started my website, and wholesale business, selling my jewelry to other shops & companies. Living in Philly & owning Adorn Boutique was amazing.  Life in my 20's was extremes of work hard / play hard - I was a super motivated entrepreneur, and also saw a lot of live music, and had a blast! 🎉 I miss all my friends & community so much! (If that’s you, say hi in a comment!) In 2015, I needed a change.... (continued in comments)
