Jelani Alladin as Raoul de Chagny, in The Phantom Of The Opera.
The role of Raoul requires a baritone/tenor, though he sings more songs as a tenor.
Jelani is a very talented tenor. Raoul is a dashing young man. He knew Christine from her childhood and has been in love with her ever since, and those feelings emerge again when they meet again as adults. While he can be stubborn at times, he is still a kind, earnest man who adores Christine and would do everything to make her happy and just wants to protect her. I'd love to see Jelani in this character, his rich lyrical tenor voice suits Raoul beautifully (as shown when he sang "All I Ask Of You"). Giving him the nobility and, at the same time, warmth and gentleness the character requires, and given how talented of an actor he is, I'm certain he'd portray an excellent Raoul.
