In 1973, while standing in one of many lines in Westwood, to see The Exorcist, I struck up a conversation with a girl named, "Bobbie." During the movie, she held on to me for dear life. For a couple of decades, she became one of my most endearing friends, ever. We would have those two and three-hour phone calls late at night. She would remember anything and everything and was able to talk about most any subject with great enthusiasm.
She also wrote beautifully handwritten letters to me fairly regularly. She's one of the few people alive who I now know who actually was able to meet my mother and sister. She even came to my wedding with Barbara in 1982.
Unfortunately, around 1995, she married someone from macho, third-world, backward Mexico, and the brute forbade her from having any male friends. So, we had to part ways. This was like losing an arm.
Then, one evening four days ago, I opened an email asking if this is the correct "Andy" and it was from Bobbie. The sun rose and the night was over. She informed me she was chucking the macho chauvinist dominant creature overboard and we could resume our friendship.
Here are her photos from 1975 and 2018. #bff #bestfriends #friendlostandfound #friendship #friendship #friendsforever #friends #jealoushusband #jealousboyfriend #jealousyisforlosers #lovers #love #goodlistener #beautiful #goodsoul
