#LYFF (LOVE YOU FIRST February) - join by posting a pic and sharing what you do for self care! By participating in #LYFF you supporting the @namastaysober mission: to aid those recovering from addiction by reconnecting their bodies and minds through complimentary yoga memberships, a practice of self awareness and a loving community.
What I do for self care:
1. Journal: For me, writing things down always moves any swirling thoughts to the page...where I can make sense of them, notice their relative insignificance, and put them to rest. I never really feel like journaling, but I know that if I sit down and make it happen I will almost certainly gain vitality and peace of mind.
2. Practice yoga and meditation: These passions set the foundation for everything that comes my way. They have brought me joy, comfort, and continuity through many moons.
3. Set aside time for me: I’m an extrovert and deeply love the people in my life. I used to often find myself among people all day every day with no breaks, which was fine by me. But I’ve noticed lately that having one night a week reserved for just me - to get things done, reflect on life’s ups and downs, and learn how to have fun alone - makes a big difference.
