Llanada Villa, located in San Jose, California and is commonly referred to as the Winchester Mystery House, was completed in 1922 and owned by the heiress Sarah Winchester, widow of William Wirt Winchester, son of the founder of the Winchester Repeating Arms Co., and developer of the Winchester Rifle. When Sarah Winchester died in 1922, this Queen Anne Victorian mansion had 40 bedrooms, 6 kitchens, 47 fireplaces, a hydraulic elevator and an aviary full of tropical birds. The building process continued over a period of 38 years. She was obsessed with continual additions to the house. #jbrownell9 #llanadavilla #winchestermysteryhouse #sarahwinchester #winchesterrifle #queenannevictorian #sanjose #sanjoseca #sanjosecalifornia

Downtown Dahlonega, Georgia, one of the most special and picturesque towns that I have ever visited. Sadly, one of my favorite spots that I visited regularly, Quigley’s Rare Books and Antiques, is now permanently closed. It was located right on the downtown square. #jbrownell9 #dahlonega #dahlonegaga #lumpkincountyga

Harville House, Statesboro, Georgia. It is reputed to have been haunted for many years. People in Statesboro call it the Haunted House. The last family members to live here were two unmarried old sisters, called the Harville Girls. #jbrownell9 #harvillehouse #harvillehouse1894 #harvillegirls #statesboroga #statesborogeorgia #georgia #bullochcounty #abandoned #abandonedplaces #abandonedgeorgia
