Danny Knobler wrote an article depicting where the top 10 available MLB Offseason targets will end up, in an article that can be found on Bleacher Report. Knobler believes that a potential Jay Bruce to the Rays deal makes sense for Tampa Bay, given that the club has been looking for power bats and outfielders. He opines that New York would have to kick in salary in order for it to get done, but claims the 3-time All-Star would be a good addition to the Rays lineup. What are your thoughts on this possibility? #JayBruce #RUJayBruce #RaysUpdates

REPORT: Many teams are now seeking interest in the Mets' veterans... most of which are repeatedly the Boston Red Sox, Seattle Mariners, and now, the Cleveland Indians.
-
According to Jerry Crasnick of ESPN, the Indians, who are interested in Cabrera, might be in the market for a utility player “if they can’t swing a bigger deal.” Cabrera played for the Indians from 2007-14.
-
Whereas the NY Post reported that the Mariners are currently showing interest in Cabrera.
-
Meanwhile, RHP Addison Reed is reportedly drawing interest from "half a dozen teams", including the Milwaukee Brewers, Newsday reported. However, trade is imminent, the report thoroughly mentioned. -
“The Mets are getting a lot of interest in Reed from all around,” MLB.com’s Mark Feinsand told WFAN’s Mike Francesa on Tuesday. “And he’s not going to get traded, I don’t think, until much closer to the deadline. They’re going to let that bidding war really blossom, see what happens to some of these other relievers.”
-
According to Jon Heyman of FanRag Sports, the Cleveland Indians are a team to watch as a potential suitor for Jay Bruce:
-
"The Mets can't expect to get too much for their position players but the Tigers' J.D. Martinez deal was a stark reminder that it's a major buyers market for position players, even very good ones. Jay Bruce is a pretty fair comp to Martinez, in fact. The Indians may make sense for Bruce."
-
Lastly, The NY Post also reported that the Indians, Royals, and Cubs had scouts at the Mets’ 3-2 win over the Cardinals on Thursday, but it’s not clear who they were actually particularly looking at.

Source: Mets have reportedly offered a trade to the Reds, Jay Bruce for Billy Hamilton straight up.
--------
I hope this doesn't happen, I do not want Hamilton. Can't get on base, relies to much on his speed. No thanks. Would rather bruce in a deal for cutch or Blackmon.

Before a big trade happens and makes this post officially irrelevant, I'm going to go out and say what I want the Mets to do at the trade deadline. With less than a week left, here are the people I want to get traded for prospects.

Asdrubal Cabrera: Cabrera is currently the Mets starting shortstop but they have MLB's No. 2 prospect Amed Rosario behind him. Cabrera has shown regression this year. He's batting 257 with 9 home runs and 27 runs batted in. We have seen teams show interest however. The Red Sox, Indians, and Mariners are all interested in the Venezuelan infielder.
He's likely to fetch us a prospect that doesn't have all star talent, but a player that will be solid all around in the future. Cabrera has an 8.5 million dollar club option for 2018, but otherwise is a free agent at the end of the year.

Addison Reed: As much as the Mets bullpen has sucked this year, it makes sense to give off their current closer, Addison Reed. Reed potentially has the most value out of the whole team. His 15/17 converted saves and 2.49 ERA make him one of the best relief pitchers on the market. He is also a free agent at the end of the year. Potentially Reed can "save" us a Top 100 prospect.

Jay Bruce and/or Curtis Granderson: While nobody has much interest in these two, the Mets NEED to make an attempt at one of them. Bruce, Granderson, Michael Conforto, and Yoenis Cespedes are all starting outfielders. Making it necessary to trade one of the two pending free agents.
The Twins and Rays could be in the running for both. They're in desperate need of outfield help. However, their values are not similar. Bruce could get us a Top 100 prospect, while Granderson could get us a prospect/minor leaguer with mediocre potential.

Lucas Duda: There aren't many teams in search of a first baseman. But if the Mets find one that is in search over the next 6 days, they can go out and make offers.

Duda is a streaky power hitter that has a 249 BA and has slugged 17 home runs. He's definitely not "bad". It's just Mets 1B prospect Dominic Smith has Mets fans dropping their jaws as he pours in the minors, similarly with Rosario and Cabrera. 🚨CAPT. CONTINUED IN COMMENTS🚨

Wilmer Flores caps off the Mets 5 run comeback with a walk off home run!
Zack Wheeler was in the hill and struggled, allowing 5 earned runs, 4 in the first inning, off 7 hits and 4 walks. After allowing 5 unanswered runs the Mets had enough and would begin there comeback in the bottom of the sixth. Bruce put the Mets on the board with a two run bomb to centerfield, putting the Mets without three. d'Arnaud would soon follow it up with an RVI single and then Conforto hit an RBI double to deep left, capping off the Mets 4 run sixth. In the eighth with two outs and d'Arnaud on second Duda came up clutch with an RBI single to tie up the game! After a perfect inning from Robles it was headed to the bottom of the ninth. With two out Wilmer Flores stepped to the plate and crushed a line drive homer to win the game! Flores was showered with applause and Gatorade as the Mets celebrate another Amazin' win!
Tomorrow at 1:10pm ET Rafael Montero will take the mound as the Mets face off against the A's.

They are receiving interest for Bruce (Indians, Twins, etc.) but not much.
They need to trade one of them. Conforto, Cespedes, Bruce, and Granderson should all be getting regular ABs. Hopefully they can get a trade done for Bruce or Granderson.

With the trade deadline just 9 days away the Mets must make some tough decisions, like what will they do with Jay Bruce? Bruce, who has led the Mets offense this season, understands the Mets situation and says he will be at peace with the organization if traded. He said, "If they have the chance to make their organization better by trading me, they would be crazy not to do it." With 24 home runs and 63 RBIs Bruce would be an offensive weapon for any contender in the league and should I get the Mets one nice pieces in return.
So now we want you to tell us, If you are Sandy Alderson, do you trade Bruce?
Tell us below!

What's up #metsfan lets have a chat about this. #ces Has been quoted saying, "I'm not sure how many years I'll play but I'd like to end my career with the A's." #realtalk I'm embarrassed by this he told, " Blevins he has the best managed team in the league." The logic in me prevents me from completely being angry with him for saying this. I understand #ces being frustrated with our organization. However that's a comment he should've kept to himself. #jaybruce and #cabby also have expressed desires to be traded #cabby flatout saying, "Trade me." #bruce saying, "The #mets would be crazy NOT to trade me." We look like a fucking joke out here guys. We aren't cursed! Our ballclub is one of the most amazing in the league no doubt. But our management is driving our players out and making us as fans disappointed/furious. You guys are frustrated, our players are frustrated, and I'm livid too. Sometimes it's like we aren't even trying. #montero starting the other night when we had that 5-0 loss. Why the hell is he a starter, better question, why is he still on our team?? I'm upsetting myself so I'll end by saying this. Even though I can see and understand WHY #ces feels this way I'm embarrassed because he's right to feel agitated (we all are). Despite my understanding of his being vexed with management I feel he should not have audibly shared his desires. I'm not going to stop being a #metsfan because shit is rough, it happens. You perturbed a lot of #metsfans #ces not cool bro not cool at all. 😒 #i💙nymets #lgm #gometsgo

There is a rumor going around that the Indians want Mets OF Jay Bruce. Obviously this would not be good for the Mets. Bruce has 24 HR for the Season and most of the year he batted over 3.00. The Indians are first in the AL central. The chances of this trade going through is slim. Hopefully it doesn't happen. #LGM #jaybruce #mets #indians
