Over the next few weeks I will be grading our position groups. These grades are based on the player RIGHT NOW, not what he could become during the season.
The Rams' QB position is perhaps their most vital position for 2017. The success this season will depend highly on Jared Goff's improvement. With Goff having the worst rookie season of all time last year, I've awarded a C-. •Jared Goff: Goff was the #1 pick in the 2016 Draft and made 7 starts last season. He was awful in those 7 games to say the least. But he still has an insane amount of potential and arm talent. His development is crucial for 2017. •Sean Mannion: The Rams drafted Mannion back in 2015 and has yet to appear in anything other than garbage time. He is thought of as a cerebral player and won't 'wow' anyone with his physical gifts. His ceiling to me is one of say Derek Anderson(Panthers), a solid backup with the ability to occasionally spot start.
