If you enjoy #janusirsasana #baddhakonasana and #upavisthakonasana, we think you'll love the #YinYoga pose half butterfly. From an easy cross-legged seat, draw your right heel closer to your groins and extend your left leg out to the side. Fold forward down an imaginary midline between your legs, allowing your spine to round if appropriate. If flexion of the spine is contraindicated for you, keep your spine extended as you hinge forward only slightly. Stay for up to five minutes. To come out of the pose, slowly unfurl your spine. Place your hands about half a foot behind your hips and lean back into them. Lift your heart to the sky in a gentle backbend for one minute. Then repeat half butterfly on the other side.

Day 7️⃣ of #YogaSchool101 is #JanuSirsasana. You know... in most combat sports a knee to the head is disallowed especially when one is down. You may reply that that only applies to one’s opponent; however, folds have taken me to the mat (👈 see what I did there? 😆) on many occasions. 😅 Honestly, I’m happy with hands to feet. I used all of CeCe’s props and they got me to this point. I will certainly continue to use them. 🙏💙

My iPhone recently broke into two pieces. At the Apple Store, I was told it couldn't be fixed. My only options were to pay 500 dollars for a refurbished replacement or closer to a thousand for an upgrade.

Two phone-less days later, after unsuccessfully trying to reach my grandmother via Facebook messenger, I went to a tiny shop in East Nashville. The owner repaired my phone in 20 minutes, for 50 bucks.

Only later did I consider that Apple depends on things becoming obsolete. Forces the current to flow that way. Otherwise what incentive do we have to buy new models? Other than the obvious: higher-quality photos, more gadgets whatever.

Nel #satyanandayoga c è un esercizio che si chiama #naukasanchalanasana ovvero remare la barca.
Siamo seduti con le gambe allungate davanti al corpo.
Dobbiamo immaginare di afferrare i remi di una barca.
Inspiriamo ed espirando ci flettiamo in avanti allungando le braccia.
Inspirando ci incliniamo indietro, portando le mani verso le spalle piegando i gomiti e attivando gli addominali.
Questo è un ciclo.
Le mani compiono un movimento circolare completo in ogni ciclo, muovendosi lungo i lati delle gambe e del tronco.
Pratichiamo 5 cicli e poi invertiamo la direzione per altri 5 cicli.
Questo asana ha un effetto benefico sull'area pelvica e sull'addome eliminando i blocchi di energia in quest'area.
È preparatorio ai piegamenti in avanti statici perché mobilita il bacino, dal quale parte il movimento per asana come #pashimottanasana o #janusirsasana .

HEAD TO KNEE POSE
Sanskrit Name: Janu Sirsasana
Pronounciation: JAH-new shear-SHAHS-anna

GENERAL FORM:
🔹Begin seated bring the pinky side of your foot into your thigh, whilst straightening the other leg (foot flexed)
🔹Turn the torso slightly towards the extended leg and fold forward. Catching the shin, ankle or foot (whichever is available)
🔹Always fold with a straight back. Think longest line possible from the head to the sitting bones with zero compression in the neck
🔹Focus on grounding both sitting bones!
🔹 With every exhale try to go deeper, if the hamstrings are open you can grab the opposite wrist behind the food and try to bring the head past the knee and maybe even ear towards the ground
