101 INSPIRING MOMENTS.
Meeting Jamie Anderson.
Nearly two years ago, I met a group of interesting writers at a 14th century castle in Spain. During the Rocaberti Retreat, we all talked about our hopes, dreams and anxieties.
One of these writers was Jamie Anderson. It was the first time I had come into contact with someone who had many years of experience within the Hollywood system. Finally, I met someone with whom I could chat about all the nerdy aspects of screenwriting as well as realise that Jamie also battles with artistic self-doubts.
Jamie's pilot for a comedy called PUMAS is the funniest and filthiest script I ever read. It makes Lena Dunham's GIRLS seem like an episode of SESAME STREET. So it's always inspiring to witness her evolution into an award winning writer-director. Her film PUNCHING BAG is wowing audiences and judges in film festivals in USA. Having someone like Jamie in my creative orbit is what made me feel as if I was transitioning into the semi-professional zone as a storyteller. Now, I want to be as successful as her. Jamie, you inspire me to raise my game on a daily basis. We made predictions for ourselves back at the Rocaberti Castle. Let's make it happen and continue to be an inspiration for others.
My fellow storytellers and entrepreneurs, who inspires you on your path to artistic success?
