"// At 51, I Survived Mt. Pulag //
Yes, I did it! My first ever climb after 20 years. I climbed Luzon's highest peak at 2,926 meters above sea level through Ambangeg Trail. Though its the easiest trail but still, it is considered a major climb with 3/9 difficulty. From the DENR Ranger Station is 7.7 kms, 4~5 hrs hike, to the summit. We passed pine trees to Camp 1 (2.3 kms), mossy forest to Camp 2 (2.7 kms) and grassland to the summit (2.7 kms). The temperature during our climb, as recorded by one hiker, was -1°C. The struggle was real but I survived.
Thank you Lord for guiding us, protecting us and keeping all of us safe.
Thanks to Daday Emmanuel Holgado Espiritu, I had all I needed: jackets, clothes, warmers, bonnet, scarf, socks and gloves to warm me; head lamp to light my way; durable and comfortable trekking shoes; trail mix, snickers and john lloyd (magic flakes) to keep me energized." #isurvivedmtpulagat51 #mtpulagsummit #ambangegtrail #struggleisreal #climbingmountain #seaofclouds #chasingsunrise #mybucketlist #huaweip10 #nofilter #jadspirits #jadspiritsfootprints #thedestinationisworththejourney #notallwhothosewhowanderarelost #kapampanganbackpacker
