Origami is basically the original 3D printer, right? Because Snowy Owl is convinced that armed with a pile of origami paper and YouTube we can produce anything she wants. For now what she wants is for me to do every paper dress tutorial in existence, and this book about fashion designer Ann Cole Lowe is perfect inspiration.
The book details Lowe's stunning career (which included designing original gowns for everyone from Alabama aristocrats to Hollywood actresses) as well as the adversity she overcame along the way. Her most famous commission--Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy's wedding goen and bridesmaid dresses--has a surprising backstory detailed in the book.
The origami dresses along the top are from a super easy tutorial by @redtedart. Snowy Owl made some popsicle stick people to go with them, prompting my husband to say they were the best dressed and most well cared for sticks he'd ever seen.
