I've come a long way from when I was undergoing treatment for cancer. I will be sharing a little bit of my cancer story this week on YouTube and how it influences how I teach. I show you these pictures so you know a little more of my struggle with leukemia though they don't capture the most challenging (behind the scenes) parts of the process. #itsnotallpretty #itsnotallbad (so lucky to be able to post this tag) 👉Grimacing because of pain when you think you are smiling. 👉Sleeping from exhaustion and to escape the pain. (You can see some of the minor bruising on my arm which was one of my symptoms.) 👉Losing your hair and a temporary port in the neck because your central line got infected. 👉Fortunately I am a cancer survivor, I walked out of the hospital after the last round of my inpatient treatment smiling and on the road to recovery with only minor setbacks for the few following years I was on treatment. #baldisbeautiful 😊
The story will be on YouTube tomorrow, link in bio.
