In order to keep costs down, I ended up travelling through Tibet with a complete stranger and well, let's just say things didn't go so well. That's a very long and complicated story that one day I will write up and post on my blog, but in the meantime, just know that it taught me some very valuable lessons. I appreciate the photos from this trip because they remind me not only of Tibet, but also of the things I learned about who I am, both as a person and specifically as a traveler, and about people I might choose to travel with.
On this particular day we arrived in Gyantse and she had a little passive-aggressive fit and refused to go for a walk or for dinner with me. I think she thought she was punishing me by sending me out by myself, but little did she know, I really quite enjoy wandering around on my own and I had a great time! So here's this photo of a street in Gyantse from my walk that day.
Have you had any bad experiences with travel partners?
