Found some @thegosetband pics from a gig @irishmurphysgeelong. I just love these guys shows! Wish I could have got closer for some better shots but the legends that they are, thanks to Rory, I got to meet Justin and we had a long chat and then LOST MY GODDDAMN CAR KEYS! ahah. Smh. It wasn't funny at the time but in hindsight, you have to laugh. 😅 my gf said they were playing on st pats at muphys but a mistake was made and it was a week before 👏😉😁 so looking forward to the next show fellas! 😍
If you like celtic/folk music you simply CANNOT pass these guys up. I have been listening to these guys since I was 16. I have all their albums and their tunes have made big influences on my life. Although all the albums are amazing I would suggest visiting the website @ http://www.thegoset.com. My favorite album is sing a song of revolution but they have a new album "one fine day" which consists of many of their greatest hits. -
Check it out here https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/one-fine-day/id1251777834.
I could keep talking about the amazingness of this band but I should stop.haha. but please if you are looking for some new music to dance to yet makes you think. Check them out! -
"…TRYING TO DESCRIBE THE SOUND OF THE GO SET IS LIKE TRYING TO IMAGINE PETER GARRETT, THE POGUES, AND THE CLASH HAVING A LATE NIGHT JAM IN A LOCAL PUB WITH AN ENDLESS SUPPLY OF BOOZE”. BLUNT MAGAZINE (2005)"
Literally just after this post I connected my phone to a blu tooth speaker and clicked random and 'The journey of 1000 miles' the 1st song to come up. Beautiful, inspirational yet sad story. Out of all the music I have on my phone that has to be a sign of some kind right? 😅😉
