Going heavier isn’t always the only form of progression. ⚠️ Think different stimulus’s 🤔 Think slight variations on the same movement patterns 🤔 Take bicep training 💪 (The first exercise nearly everyone does in a gym 😙) If you’ve been doing curls with dumbbells and plateaued and can’t improve ..try curl variations 👍 There are hundreds (kettlebell, barbell, trx, resistance bands, occlusion etc) ⚠️You don’t have to rip up the program 📖 just make subtle tweaks and you’ll see big returns 🏆 @ffsgym #landmineworkout #curls #curlsforthegirls #curlsfortheboys #armworkout #bicepworkout #fitfam #irishfitfam #upperbodyworkout #teamffs #gym #fitfam

Tonight’s workout killed me 💀 warmed up using resistance bands for glute bridges, hip abductor, kickbacks and jump squats.
Squats- 3x8 60kg, 3x3-5 70kg, (box squats) 3x2 100kg.
Hip thrusts- 3x12-15 60kg, 3x8 100kg.
After leg workout did a few ab exercises (hanging knee raises need some work) 3x10-15 of each and pull-ups 3x3-5 (struggle)

Scarlett leggings are THE pair to have this summer😍 If you're not a fan of light pastel colours, but still want a little flirt of something colourful, these are for you.
I personally (Bonnie here!) am a little afraid of light colours as I don't feel they flatter my physique, but these ones specifically are one of my favourites - not totally black like 90% of my wardrobe, with a gorgeous colour block that cuts off at such a flattering place 🙌

I have my squat session scheduled for this evening and I’m feeling pretty pumped for it 🙌🏼

As a result of an injury I sustained to my right leg, as well as being in a calorie deficit for over 6 months (pretty much the entirety of 2018 so far😅) my squat strength has declined. It is frustrating but I am determined to build it back up and hit some PRs 🔥

The question that I hear all the time from clients and friends: "-I don't want to compete, I just want to look ripped and have abs". If you don't want to be a bodybuilder, that is perfectly fine! Everyone has different goals and reasons to exercise. That does not mean however that since you won't be hitting the stage you won't need to: - Consistent
- Dedicated
- Focused
- Goal Oriented

I believe the same happens in every single aspect of our lives. You can't expect that a relationship will work and last if you don't put any effort on it. You can't expect to get a good job or do well at your current job without dedication and hard work. "I am not going to dedicate myself at work because I don't want to become the company's president". This is exactly how it sounds when you say you don't want to work hard as you don't want to compete. Does that mean you will become the company's CEO? No. Does that mean you will become a bodybuilder? No.

In this life you can be anything that you want to. But nothing happens by accident. Everything is a result of the amount of effort you put on it. So trust the process, set realistic goals, do your best and get the results that you want.

Turning hump days into happiness with this amazing group of women! No matter how tired or overwhelmed I’m feeling I always jump out bed when the alarm goes off at 5.30am on a Wednesday morning to go see my girls and meet new faces who join us week on week.
