Just like we must forgive ourselves, we must also forgive others and let go of the past. Let go of anything that is keeping us from being focused on the present.
Move forward, knowing you are perfect the way you are and there is no reason to stay stuck in the past.
Move beyond all forms of pain from hurt to regret, and allow yourself to connect with who you are now and where you are now. Allow yourself to see and feel how far you have come and how much you have grown by getting out of your own way.
How do we do this?
Journaling helps us express our feelings even if we don’t know why we feel a particular way. It is a healing tool that confirms our truth. It has been my favorite mode of self discovery.
Most of us have learned to people please since our childhood and can no longer feel our own truth. Instead, we have developed a personality that is ‘acceptable’ to those whose love we always wanted. Journaling helps us see where and how we compromise ourselves. The seeing of it is the beginning of healing the pattern. It is a path to freedom.
