BLOG💻| As someone that started photography 2 years ago and only started blogging last year my Instagram and blog has transitioned into something I’m more confident in sharing. People rarely acknowledge where their source of inspiration stems from, so I decided to do a blog post on my favourite “bloggers to watch.” Hopefully you’ll give them a follow and see what makes them so incredible to watch and support.

The cutest couple of Valentine’s Day this year was PB and J, a classic pair! 💘 This smoothie recipe is inspired by a community smoothie @purekitchenottawa featured in September that I absolutely LOVED.

3 ice cubes
Splash coconut milk
Scoop frozen berries 🍓
Spoon yogurt (lactose free, Greek, plain)
Spoon peanut butter (crunchy natural) 🥜
Banana 🍌
Additions: cocoa nibs, collagen powder

Topped it off with some unsweetened shredded coconut and a couple pieces of toasted coconut🌴 Can you tell I’m in love w the coco?? 🌺

I’ve seen a lot of recipes for snack balls on Pinterest and created my own! I improvised so I apologize, the measurements may not be exact. The amounts are mostly a matter of preference anyway, I don’t like following recipes hehe 👩🏽‍🌾🙃 -
2 cups pitted dates (if dry, soak for 10 mins and drain)
1.5 cups rolled oats
4 tbsp crunchy natural peanut butter
1 tsp cinnamon
1/4 cup unsweetened shredded coconut
1. Blend dates in a blender or food processor (if in blender, may have to add a bit of water).
2. If using food processor, add the remaining ingredients and mix. If not, combine dates with the remaining ingredients in a bowl and mix.
3. Roll the mixture into small balls with your palms. I find it’s easier if you keep a small dish of water close by to dip your fingers in to prevent it from sticking to your hands.
4. Roll balls into extra shredded coconut for the outside casing (the water dish also helps with this).
5. Place on platter, cover, and chill in the fridge (or outside❄️) to set.
6. Nomnomnom
If the budget allows, you can add in things like hemp hearts, and chia seeds for an extra boost! I added in collagen powder to sneak in some extra benefits. Collagen is not a vegan product for those who want to stick to plant based recipes!
Makes about 35 balls! Great for a quick bite on the go or a sweet treat 😊

Are you ready to bring heaven to your mouth?? Ingredients: coconut milk, half green apple, scoop frozen mango, one banana, spoonful raw ginger, handful spinach, and your additions! (as usual maca root powder, hemp hearts and collagen ✨💛) It’s soooo good 😭🍏🍌🌴

An earthy caffeine-free tea blend I made with a lot of benefits!
Ingredients: green rooibos, peppermint, astragalus root, licorice root, rosehips, juniper berries, jasmine flowers.
Summary: anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties that aid the digestive and respiratory systems.
Astragalus root was recommended to me by a naturopath years ago when my immune system was very weak. The compounds found in astragalus reduce inflammation, and most notably activate various immune cells in your body. You can find it in a concentrated tincture (i used to drink a fermented astragalus tincture 😍bonus😍), but now that my immunity isn’t in SOS mode, I just add the dried root to my tea blends, which is much more affordable and a great way to keep immunity up! You can get the root at most health food stores, apothecaries, or wherever you buy your herbs in bulk 🍃

When brewing, I added some Cuban honey, and sage leaves recommended by @mohmoose. My new favourite tea! Sage adds a lovely taste to so many teas and is really soothing on the stomach. TY🦋 You can find them at Middle Eastern food markets and some grocery stores!

Face mask (15 mins): Lemon (antibacterial and antifungal properties to target acne and blackheads), Honey (also antibacterial, and antioxidants to soothe, moisturize, and enhance your complexion and glow ✨), Cinnamon (target acne bacteria, reduce redness).
Hair (massage on scalp, leave on overnight): Avocado oil: deep hydration, treat dandruff, and promote hair growth. Promotes blood flow to follicles and unclogs pores. Antioxidants like vitamin E for shiiiiine.
Castor oil: same as above and added benefits of ricinoleic acid (deep penetrating essential Omega-9 fatty acid for growth)
