I come from a long line of women who make the term “Domestic Goddess” look like child’s play. They are cooks, bakers, hostesses through and through — all to bring joy to others. I started my only-good-things donut baking adventure a few weeks back to a) avoid preservatives/unnecessary garbage ingredients and b) have good donuts. It’s now turned into a slight obsession and I am slowly realizing I might (just maybe) have some of that domestic goddess blood running through my veins. Today’s admittedly not donut project, but equally as exciting: my Aunt Sharon’s buns with whipped honey butter. Fun family fact: anytime any member of the family bakes these buns, there is a text message that gets sent about “Aunt Sharon’s buns.” We think we’re hilarious. Sharon might not feel the same.
