Do interruptions frustrate you? You're having a conversation and someone walks up and interrupts the dialogue or you're intensely working on the computer and someone says something to interrupt your train of thought? I often find myself very irritated, when I'm interrupted; not because whatever the interruption was, wasn't important enough that it couldn't wait, but rather, I loose my train of thought and sometimes can not remember what I was saying or doing before the interruption. I believe there are spiritual interruptions; things that come up, at what we think is an inconvenient time. I believe these spiritual interruptions, are there to arrest our attention and maybe even get us to stop what we are doing because it's not a part of the desired plan of God for our lives. So the next time your life is interrupted by what you think is inconvenient, consider it may be a blessing to redirect you on the path God intended.
Prayer: Our Precious Heavenly Father, we thank You for this day You've made and we rejoice and are glad. Thank You for predestining us for greatness in You. We know that we may plan our ways, but that ultimately, You order our steps. Forgive us for allowing frustration to blind us from seeing when there was a spiritual interruption, intended to arrest our attention and force us to refocus on what it is You've planned. Help us to see where we are doing our own thing; hence interrupting the plans You have predestined for us. We thank You that as we trust in You with all of hearts and we lean not on our own understanding, but acknowledge You in all of our ways, You will direct our paths. Therefore, Father, we humble ourselves and we ask that You interrupt any of our plans that do not line up with our destiny. In Jesus name.
