As requested by #CommonYogaMistakes For #Pyramid aka #IntenseSideStretch aka #Parsvottanasana and a few tips on what to do and what not to do for beginners. .
.
1)Start in Mountain, step back 4-5 feet, keep the front foot facing forward and the back is turned 45 degrees or less and alignment is heel to heel.
.
2) Straighten out and engage the legs, squaring the hips to the front. .
3) Roll the shoulders back, reaching behind and grabbing as close to the opposite elbows as possible or coming to a #ReversePrayer .

4) Take a breath, engage inner body and begin to forward fold from the hips as you exhale. Continue to keep the hips square and the back straight. .
5) Hold for 5-10 breaths and switch sides.

Day 2 of #summerselflove is #parsvottanasana or #intensesidestretch pose! Intense for the hamstrings, that's for sure :P! I most definitely would not recommend going in to this pose without having done a sufficient warm-up. I spent an hour on my mat prior to taking this picture. But, another great "feel good" pose ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿ™ Loving this challenge so far, ladies!! ๐Ÿ’•
