Only 4,530 bottles were created of the 21 years old distilled in 1992 (55.3% ABV). Jim Murray’s #tastingnotes:
‘Nose: A textbook of complexity: nutty biscuits – Maryland Cookies is about the closest – meets spiced, diced runner beans as a sweet earthiness nestles into the malt and delicate honey.
Taste: A surprising coastal kick of sugars and salt mixing in with the vanilla and butterscotch clad malt.
Finish: Long, with the light oils being used to the full to draw out the Ulmo honey…and a further dusting of salt…
Overall: Rosebank is at its very best at eight-years-old. Well, that won’t happen again, so great to see it proven successful at 21….’
