The other night I plopped down in a chair after being on my feet for awhile. I let out a slight groan as I hit the chair and this sweet, kind-hearted boy came right over. "Sore, Mama?" I replied, "Yeah baby, I'm a little sore." He came closer and put his hand on my heart and whispered, "Jesus. Amen." My mama heart was touched and proud, of course. But in that moment what struck me the most was that in his own heart, he recognized a need in somebody and knew just how to meet it. And he wasn't ashamed. He touched my heart and I felt it not just as his mama, but as another human. It impacted me greatly, and I can't wait to see all the lives that will be impacted by his deep-seated desire to help humanity.
