She opens her eyes, the curtain has moved away from the window and from the slit, she can see the Nanga Parbat mountain. She takes a deep breath; taking in this early morning view, the sun just touching the peaks of the mountain; as if caressing it.
Still in her blanket she turns to look at the other girls in the room; still fast asleep. She nudges her friend next to her. "We should wash our faces and then wake everyone up". Her friend gets out of the blanket quickly and walks to the bathroom; while she takes out her tooth brush from her backpack. And goes back into the blanket. Then she spots the sunlight falling on the floor of the cottage; she quickly gets up with her things, goes and sits in the sun to wait for her turn to wash her face with the freezing cold water.
All set for breakfast, she leaves the cottage. She closes the door and turns; only to be hit in the face with a gust of cold wind (duh) and greeted by this view.
