Went into this quaint little shop and saw the most adorable kimono origami bookmark. Decided to buy a few and some other knick knacks that amounted to about 3,600¥. As I was paying, I noticed the adorable origami couple hanging by the counter. Shopowner, Masako-san told me she folded that and everything else in the shop! Wow.
With our limited english/japanese, we conversed a bit more in sign language till she suddenly disappeared into the back of the shop and emerged with a pair of the origami couple and said "Present, Sayonara". That costs almost half of what I paid earlier! I refused the gift as it was too much to accept but Masako-san followed me around the shop and refused to let me refuse the gift! Haha. So I decided to accept it and also bought more bookmarks!! Haha.
So, if you receive one of these when we meet (or would like to receive one, let me know), know that it's handmade by one of the kindest shopowner I've had the chance to meet!
