Ulla von Brandenburg - ‘Gleich Gleich Gleich’ (15.02.13 - 14.04.13)
With ‘Gleich Gleich Gleich’, KIOSK presented the first Belgian solo show by artist Ulla von Brandenburg (Karlsruhe, 1974, currently based in Paris). Von Brandenburg’s artistic practice was and is a visualization of the tensions between reality and fiction, visitor and actor, subject and object. Hallucination, mirror images and illusion influence the way we look and von Brandenburg’s theatrical style continually responds to this.
Some good paintings in the current graduation exhibition (Diplomausstellung) at the Dresden Academy of Fine Arts. Sorry, I didn't wrote down all artist names, but... in the picture 1 and 2: Amelie Hüneke picture 5: Maria Katharina Morgenstern (the ink works on the wall)
After 148 portraits and 9 days of intense drawing I’m ready to finish my two weeks residency in London. I’ve met some amazing personalities, inspiring individuals and interesting characters. Very often while I was looking at my model in the eyes and drawing her/him/other I had this urge to say to the person sitting in front of me: “It is ok. You are ok.” Maybe I did say that without saying a word.
Jean Bernard Koeman - ‘Observatory Crest’ (07.12.12 - 13.01.13)
A ‘scenography-as-installation’ by visual artist Jean Bernard Koeman (°1964) and the KIOSK exhibition space were set to engage in a fascinating interaction. The installation was a result of Koeman’s collaboration as a scenographer with dancer/choreographer Koen Augustijnen (Les Ballets C de la B) and actress/director Abke Haring (Toneelhuis). Thematically, it was based on the notion of ‘complicit architecture’ and it contained associative references to Ho Chi Minh’s stilt house, Apollo 13’s ill-fated journey and the form language of Buckminster Fuller.
Compartiendo el espacio después de muchísimo tiempo con @marialejandralsdef 💙 En la foto, vista particial de la muestra ''Dualidades en el paisaje de la costa'' en la que participo junto a Marialejandra Lozano y Lara Otiura.
