There's no such thing as a right time or perfect moment, you take them, shape them and fit them to ensure they become perfect.
I learnt that it's futile to keep a pride and feed an ego, when you're unaware of your next moment.
I learnt you're as happy as you feel, I know this sounds a bit cliche but next time you feel upset, play some rock music (or old school bollywood party songs as extra topping ). I learnt to be vocal about everything; emotions, opinions and specifically expectations.
I learnt we don't qualify to complain until we are brave enough to make ourselves vulnerable by being vocal. Plus, you let people getaway with carelessness with just one nod uttering you never 'said' it.
I learnt every thing in our lives come as a pair, be it joy & sorrow, vice & virtue etc. Hence you must not undermine the beauty of one for the fondness of the other.
I learnt to embrace pain and the epitome it brings. I learnt pain plays a vital role in one's evolution as a person and an artist.
I learnt how I, myself, have been a victim of internalized patriarchy when I expect off my mother to cook me food. And it taught me if I want to be cherished as a person, before I'm cherished as a relation, I ought to do exactly that with others.
I learnt that seeking eternity out of something makes it redundant and colorless.
I learnt there's no such thing as beautiful as a sisterhood. Sisterhood becomes your cure for everything.
I learnt to be more grateful towards those who actively participate on the canvas of my life, and to forget the colours that never settle in.
I learnt that it's impossible to expect of people to value you until you learn to value yourself.
I learnt a 'me' time in travelling, sleeping, walking, eating and doing something is MOST IMPORTANT. ( yes! This ought to be the highlight of this year of mine. That too a beautiful one )
I learnt to be strong, independent, unapologetic, kind and conscious.
There's plenty more, but for the time being let's just learn to appreciate the exquisite now. Let's indulge ourselves more in this moment.
I've got plenty of time to read books. If you've ever (or recently ) read a good book, please share.
