I never really thought about how true that quote is and how it can apply to so many aspects of life. I personally feel like balance is key 🔑 You can still have all the naughty food you WANT but first you NEED to get your body to the point where your body and even mind can handle it. 🍔🌭🍕🍗🍟🥙 One bad meal every now and then isn't going to kill you and undo all your hard work but that being said I can definitely say that I feel like I can be more relaxed with my 'diet' now but only after having put in the time and discipline to get my body, mind and metabolism to where it is now. Where I can have a bad meal and not beat myself up about it or be angry at myself after eating it. Don't get me wrong I'm NO WHERE near where I want to be physically but I have learnt to love and embrace the process just as much as the end result. I'm the girl that would shamelessly eat junk twice a day, there was a time I actually went to McDonald's 3 times in one day 🙈I LOVED junk food and never in a million years did I think I would be able to kick the habit or even get to the point of having abs. I've said it before and I'll say it until my last breath, deciding to get in shape was hands down one of the best decisions I've made and for some people it will be one of those things that you don't understand the big hype about until you actually do it for yourself. It's not just your body that changes and it's not just a physical commitment. If you're hesitating or reluctant for any reason I urge you to just bite the bullet and dive into it full heartedly and I promise you won't regret it 💕

So although I kind of buggered the last rep here a bit, I did 295x5 super sick. First time squatting without a mirror too which was a trip. I was using 295 as a clean 1 RM a couple weeks ago, may attempt 335 soon as my partner @prkshpranav smashed it clean as hell today!!

First attempt to lift 170kg ... the heaviest I've ever lifted. Take your time and make sure your technique is spot on.... there is a reason why they call it deadlift... because as a exercise it's the most deadliest one there. It can seriously put you out of action for weeks or even months.
This attempt I failed miserably on my the first attempt but on my second attempt (swipe left to see 2nd attempt) I managed to do 2 reps (the second was abit wobbly). The pressure is on when man behind me was watching.

Doesn't matter if you failed the first time you can it's about going after it again but because no matter how many times you do this YOU DONT GIVE UP!

Changed my Monday morning routine and it’s made such a difference. I used to hate the Monday morning swim and it took everything in me to force myself to go. Prior to being a gym member, I couldn’t use the pool down the road from my house in the mornings (morning availability for gym members only) so mornings were chaotic. I had to drive 20mins to another pool, swim for 1 hour, get stuck in traffic on the way back, only had 10mins in my house to get ready for work, finished getting ready on the way to work and then still struggled to show up on time. Now I have gym membership this has all changed. Today I woke up at 4.45am, only had to drive 5mins to the pool, was in the pool from 5.15-6.15am, then spent 30 mins in the spa, steam room and shower, got back home at 7pm, had 30mins in my house to get ready and had no trouble getting to work on time. Nothing was rushed, I had extra time and it put me in a better mood for the rest of the day. The best part was having a spa after training.
