Let’s talk about the personal presence on your Instagram or why the hell you see my face on 33,3% of my pics.
If you are a fashion/beauty blogger or one of those girls who posts 100 bathroom selfies in one day, this post isn’t for you. Obviously, you can’t avoid (and don’t want to) the personal appearance on your blog.
But what should you do if you are a travel blogger, a photographer, a “whatever” expert, Instagram shop owner or any other type of blogger who doesn’t necessarily need to post his/her personal photos?
My answer will be…you should do it!
And here are the reasons why:
🍓Its a best way to build trust and loyalty. I don’t want to buy jewelry from Instagram shop when it feels like there is a bot running it. I will trust you more if I get known that you have a fluffy puppy and need to earn money to feed him ( ah, that’s why she sells hand-made jewelry!Shut up and take my money!)
🍓It’s the easiest way to increase your engagement rate. Trust me, this post will never ever collect as many likes as the photo of me standing on the rooftop in VS underwear that I posted before.🙄
🍓It’s the easiest way to be different. How many pages with inspirational quotes have you seen? How many of them looked like there was a human being behind the screen?
🍓It’s the way to protect your account from hackers. In some cases, if you account got hacked, you can prove your identity with your photo ID. If you don’t have your personal photos on your Insta/FB...well, it will be a harder task for you to prove the account was yours.
What can you do?
🍭Post personal photos, tell life stories, show behind the scene/creation process.
🍭If you don’t want to ruin the perfect concept of your feed, use Instagram Stories and multiple photos slide (first photo matches your feed concept, next photo is your d̶u̶c̶k̶ happy face)
🍭Tell real stories.Stay real. Don’t pretend to be a hot beautiful girl with Bentley Continental GT Speed, who works in fashion, when in fact you are a bumbling nerdy guy with pimples all over your face, who works at entry-level minimum-wage job.
