Here's a demo of a slight variation of the stack I'm currently using, as requested by @samduncandrums. This stack is made from the 18" top cymbal of a @meinlcymbals Matt Garstka Fat Stack over the 16" bottom cymbal of a Luke Holland Bullet Stack.
It's demoed in the following order and configurations, using a auxiliary hihat-arm:
1. Both cymbals mounted with the same side up, tight (as you'd mount it on a normal cymbal stand)
2. Bottom cymbal placed upside-down, tight
3. Bottom cymbal placed upside-down, loose
This combination is very musical and not harsh at all to the ears. The attack is soft but still cuts really well, it's not too loud and as a whole the stack feels great to play. I personally use the Garstka top cymbal over a 16" Classics Custom Trash Crash instead, which sounds very similar to the stack in this video but with a slightly sharper attack and more cut. I also put a Ching Ring on top for a extra layer of high end sustain and crispness. 👌
