Have I mentioned that I love our kitchen? I was excited about the lighter countertops and backsplash with the dark cabinets. Also a window with a view and ledge! Definitely a different look and feel than our previous kitchen, but you know I like change. I loved our last one for different reasons, but I love this one just as much. That cute little girl up there doesn’t hurt either. 😍
I’m still on the lookout for an island and welcome any ideas on that front. I’m thinking something with more of an antique or farmhouse feel… possibly chunky and painted with hopefully a spot for some bar stools. I haven’t seen anything I love yet, but I’ll find it one day. 😊 In the meantime, we’re definitely putting the extra space to good use… what can I say, we like our music loud. 😉💃🏽
Oh, and keep scrolling to see the “before” picture that I found in an older listing. 😬 I’m pretty sure the house hadn’t been updated since it was originally built in the late 60’s (yes, there was pink tile in the bathroom). And no, we did not do these renovations… we don’t have the vision to have made that purchase. 😂 But thankful the guy who put in all the effort had an eye for this kind of stuff (or his wife, either one). 😊 And a funny tidbit — the granite they chose is called “Dallas White”.
