Just made the commute into the city and am getting ready to go in for my morning workout. My meals are prepped, I got just over 7 hours of sleep, and I know exactly what I will be doing once I get in the gym. Sound familiar?
I have found over the years that the key to maintaining my health, fitness level and physique has been based around a routine. I get up to an alarm clock each morning, and I drive to the gym before work. I train a body part a day and rarely ever take a day off. Now that doesn't mean I lift heavy every day, some days I may just do 20 minutes of cardio and some stretching but I always 'show up'...and exercise.
I am also very conscious of ensuring I have protein with every meal and while I don't count exact calories or macros per se, I do have a pretty good understanding of my requirements and always ensure I am getting enough protein.
And finally I do use supplements as most of you know. Allmax is my trusted brand of choice and while the supplements are not meant to replace a meal plan, they are helpful in ensuring I get enough protein (amino acid), vitamins and minerals to support my meal plan and help accelerate what I am doing in the gym.
Good luck with your training! #gymlife
