After my trip to Cozumel Island and all the amazing shades of blues, turquoise and living beings I saw underwater I decided to paint a new collection inspired in these memories. . This is the process of the first study that gives to this collection the color palette and feeling to it. Enjoy! 😊 . #creativeingrid
Transformation! 🎭 Usually I don't take photos of process. Because I don't like to be distracted. And because the mess on my workplace is terrible and totally unphotogenic 😱🤦 But this time a miracle happened, and I photographed the finished, but not yet painted giraffe (it was at 2am by the way 😴). And now you can see the transformation of Jane. The power of brush and acryl 😁😂 #crochettiky_toys
This is the first time I've done a scarf joint where the headstock meets the neck. There are several methods that can be used, but rather than building jigs etc, I rough cut for the joint on the bandsaw and then cleaned up the cut by hand with a plane and sanding block. The resulting glue joint is substantially stronger than the short grain that ends up at the headstock transition without a scarf joint!
