I was recently accepted to a startup business accelerator program to work on @getlukafit, y’all! This right here is one of the moments I’ve been waiting for since I quit my job 3 months ago, and it feels GRAND. While I’m confident (due to nearly 2 years of research - aka analysis paralysis) that I’m working on a viable business idea, I have to admit it feels great to get validation from a nationally ranked program (#malibu 🤷🏾♀️). I’ve decided not to participate, but that’s another post for another day.
I took a huge leap without knowing what I would find beneath me, and it’s been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I’ve learned so much about myself over the past two years, and every day I’ve had the pleasure of witnessing a formerly deathly shy girl blossom into a more self-assured woman.
More importantly, I’ve learned just how solid my support system is. Huge shout outs to everyone who has supported, mentored, encouraged, or allowed me to claim ALL their time asking a million questions thus far - especially my mom @dbashe818! I recognize that this is just the beginning of a very long and winding journey that will be filled with hills *and* valleys, but I will be making a concerted effort to acknowledge all of my gratitude and appreciation at every step of the way. Prepare to get annoyed by all my forthcoming sappy posts lol.
So thank you, dear friends and family, for supporting me in so many ways thus far. And thanks in advance for answering the emails, calls, requests and cries I’ll be sending your way for the foreseeable future :) __
