As I mentioned yesterday, it's time for the biggest festival of Bihar/Jharkhand, "chhath puja". The dish I made today is "Jaggery Rice Kheer" which is an offering made on the 2nd day of chhath puja (Kharna). I have made the kheer in totally traditional way using rice, jaggery, milk and some chopped nuts. This kheer along with roti (whole wheat bread) is offered after following certain rituals.
