My body is achy and stiff every morning when I wake up. My joints are tight and sore. My flexibility is more or less nonexistent. Think of a time when “muscles you never thought you had” were sore and achy after trying a new sport, such as snowboarding. That’s the feeling. “Go back to bed!” my body yells at me. I now know better that I need to warm up and keep moving all day. I know that if I jump up out of bed and skip my morning routine, then I will have a very rough day. I spend an hour or two on my mat waking my body up. I begin with breathing exercises, move into light stretching, and progress into more advanced poses.
I know that I feel my worst in the morning and my best in the evening. From the start of the day, every single moment will be better than the last. The day gets better and better as the day goes on! I typically spend three to six hours exercising and practicing yoga throughout the day. I feel my absolute best by bedtime, which sometimes makes getting to sleep difficult. I spend the whole day working to feel my best but when I finally achieve my goal, then it is time to go to bed. That’s alright though, I get to wake up and enjoy another day of exercise! Move, always.

Went to the physio yesterday and was given some core exercises. She said that my hip flexors were too strong and that I wasn't using my core enough in my compounds. I've known about this and I really do need to concentrate more when doing abs.
She also said that it's important that I get my breathing right during my reps since it helps engage the core. I knew that you were meant to exhale during the concentric part of the movement and inhale during the eccentric but I didn't know that this was the reason.

I can go to the gym but avoid doing weights heavier than my bodyweight. I can go heavier when I get better at engaging my core. Was very happy to hear this 😊
However for the time being I'm going to stick to cardio, just cos I can feel the pain/discomfort in my back today. I set out for a quick trail run this morning. My intended distance came and went. After dodging tourists on the main trails, I found a long secluded trail carpeted with crunchy leaves.
