After a lot of bs with insurance I finally was able to pick up my new medication. Its called Humira and its an injectable with a "little" (ha) needle I'm supposed to inject myself with. Since its my first time, my dosage is higher, so I had to do four doses. Two split on both side of my stomach, and two split on each thigh. Ain't gonna lie, it hurt quite a freakin bit. Each time it would shoot in at the press of the button, and a burning, stinging, and most of all cramping sensation would occur. You gotta hold it in for 10sec and the pain would fluctuate throughout. Afterwards I would slowly stretch my thighs cause it felt so tight, and my stomach was tight so I would carefully bend. Its supposed to make me feel better so that's what I'm looking forward to. In two weeks I just take two doses, and every two weeks after that for the rest of my life it'll be just one dose. 🙏👐
Oh and I'm lucky my mom is married to a military man, because my co-pay is 24$ and the medication cost 10k$ each dose...😐 I won't be covered when I turn 23, which is in about 13 months, so hopefully Trump hasnt already/isnt going to fuck up healthcare and I can hopefully get good insurance. We'll see.
