Just about had enough of eating out.. carrying home made lunch today! *Recipe below*
Banana flower North eastern salad & Green banana sago pakoras (they're air fried- no oil)

Salad: Cleaning the flowers is a bit of a tedious job but its totally worth it after. They need to be boiled/pressure cooked to tender stage then strained and cooled. To this add chopped raw onion, lime juice, a mix of pounded perilla & salt. In a pan heat mustard oil & add a dried red chilli. Pour this over the banana and mix.

Pakora : Soak sago granules till soft. Boil/pressure cook two raw bananas (skin on) till you can pass a skewer through. Remove skin, mash the pulp. To this, add finely chopped onion, green chillies, corriander leaves, the soaked sago and some crushed peanut. With wet hands make small balls of the mixture. I used an air fryer so I didn't use any oil - 180 degrees for ahout 20 mins till golden brown and crusty.
