The Edtech Consultant
Damilola Anwo-ade studied Information Resources Management at Babcock University, Osun state graduating with a BIRM in 2007. She has a Master Degree in Education Planning, Economics and International Development from The Institute of Education, University of London. She is a professional project, IT manager and a self-taught web-developer.
In 2005, she worked as an IT Trainer for IT and C. From June 2009- Dec 2011, she was the programs executive for Digital Peers International where she was responsible for all aspects of IT, analytical and relationship building activities including IT technical support and successfully developed curriculum and detailed training provision for the teachers, students and volunteers.
In 2010, she volunteered for Apps for Good, an open-source technology education movement that partners with educators in schools and learning centres to deliver course to young people between 10-18 years, as an Idea screening and user experience expert. She connected with children across the world serving as an assistant through the two stages.
In 2012, she started an EdTech organization: Sprout Consulting and currently serves as a Managing Partner. They are focused on driving effective educational solutions in school and improve the structure and efficiency of IT systems in education. In 2015, she cofounded CodeIT, to help mentor young adults and kids to express themselves using technology related skills. Through their various programs they impart IT skills that young people need.
With the initiative, CodeIT, she is mentoring the next generation of young coders including women. She is focused on driving effective educational and social impact solutions as well as work to improve the structure and efficiency of IT systems in organization. She was recently honored by the U.S Embassy in Abuja, Nigeria as one of Nigerian TechWomen fellows.
