Meet the Marshalls! For the new people following our journey, welcome! From left to right: Remi, Kylie, Landry, Elle; although I usually try to keep them alphabetical order, which is also their positional and birth order. Elle & Remi = the "big heads"; Kylie & Landry = "little heads". All fraternal, though the little heads look identical!
After lots of rounds of fertility medicine and IUI's, we went to another clinic to discuss IVF. They suggested we try 1 more round of an injectable hormone, Gonal F (or as I call it, Gonal F-U) plus IUI. So we did it, and bam 💥got a positive test! Went in for a sonogram at 8 weeks, and let's just say it wasn't a happy day or a happy month! Not only did I not want 4 kids, I definitely didn't want 4 at one time! We also felt a lot of pressure by a certain doctor to "reduce" down to 2 babies. We heard a laundry list of everything that could be wrong and we didn't know what to do. Finally, we gave it to God. We had SO many people praying for and declaring a perfect and healthy pregnancy, with perfect babies, and that's just what we had! Not 1 day of bed rest for me, and these babes cooked for 32w5d. Here we are now, with our almost 3 year olds! I wish we wouldn't have wasted so much time doubting and second guessing what He had planned. I can't imagine not having all 4 of these angels here today! We found out along the way that high order multiples have a big negative impact on fertility clinics, and couldn't help but wonder if that had something to do with the push to reduce? Ironically, my OB had dinner with that doctor the night before we had our C-Section, so he got filled in on what a perfect pregnancy we had. Then, the morning of my c-section, I recognized my anesthesiologist - I did medical sales and we were in the same OR several times. While discussing that, it turned out that she was the daughter of the doctor that wanted us to reduce! I have no doubt that God put her there for a reason, and I imagine his faith got a little boost after hearing about the 4 healthy babies born, as did ours. I hope that we can continue to be a reminder of His faithfulness and grace. God Bless you all! #marshallquads #quadruplets #JMBranch
