Titled "I Need You Now", this song is really quite difficult to work out when it was actually written. Cowritten with Robert Ellis Orrall whom Taylor also wrote "A Place In This World" with back in 2005/2006, it's easy to assume that "I Need You Now" was born around the same time despite it carrying more of a Fearless-style sound and being produced in a studio... however, due to an (unconfirmed) rumour that Taylor and Orrall cowrote "Crazier" together back in 2003 when she would've still been signed to RCA Records, "I Need You Now" could potentially be as old as 14 years - however, the rumour about "Crazier" is not concrete as the song itself was only actually recorded in 2008 and copyrighted in 2009 for Hannah Montana: The Movie.
That aside, "I Need You Now" is a beautiful yet tragic song about how Taylor once struggled to cope with the aftermath of a break up, but now it's his turn to want her back even though she's already moved on. Two crazy talented writers, and it's a shame that the song never saw an album release.
