Hey ladies. I've been meaning to speak about something that has always been an issue in the lash industry. What is is you may ask? Improper lash application!
Above is a photo of another lash artist's client who has been getting her lashes done for the past while. Please note she saw nothing wrong with her lashes. She only came to me as a student's model. When I saw her lashes I was first disturbed then I was annoyed and then the OMG how did you leave your house like that kicked in. I was actually sad for her, she loved her lashes because they were long. However she had no clue her lashes were being damaged. As a client it is impossible to really know if someone has applied your lashes correctly, especially if you have never had them done before. So client's of other lash artist's and possible clients to the world of lashes. Please do your homework. First question to ask your lash artist is, are you certified? Secondly, would be to ask them how they apply the lashes, ask them to give you a step by step guide. If they are not isolating one lash first and then applying the extension to one lash, they are not doing their job correctly. That's why In the second photo you see all the clumping. It is because multiple lashes were glued together. What does that scream..... DAMAGE! You have to be careful ladies . Improper application can lead to , eye infections, premature lash loss, sty's, burning, swelling and an all around really horrible lash experience. Your eyes allow you to see, I don't know about you but I love seeing. So stop taking lashes lightly and really do your research before allowing just anyone to touch those precious eyes of yours. If you're unsure if your lash artist's is doing her job right, try brushing your lashes. If you can't pull a lash brush through your lashes , that's your first sign. Ask a family member or friend to take a close up picture of your lashes and then zoom in and see if it looks like the above photo. If your lashes look like that please go get them removed immediately before it's to late and you have to wait months or even years for your lash line to grow back. They might never be the same after a job like that.Love Ashlee R.
