This little boy made 16 (4 piece) Puzzles in under 20 minutes. Like with everything in life, consistency, discipline and perseverance pays off with puzzles too 😉. If you are planning to introduce your child to puzzles, read on ● Choose the right one-go by the instructions on the box. A 4 piece is recommended for a 3 year old. At 3 years, 3 months, we will be moving to a 6 piece soon. The pace will be led by your child. I started with knob puzzles, then a 2 piece and so on.
●Never throw the box - encourage your child to see the photo(s) on the box repeatedly for reference. ● Strike a balance-between being helpful and solving the whole thing yourself. I am a control freak so I limit myself to one instruction per puzzle and whenever he is stuck i keep telling him to refer to the picture and offer words of encouragement.
●Make the first one yourself - sets the mood for the child to do it themselves. Puzzles are equivalent to a work out. They resist the thought of it but once they come down to doing it, they end up loving it 😂
