On the morning of my last wedding of the year, Alan asked me, "Which was your favorite?" I laughed at how hard that question is, but what I finally answered surprised us both.
My favorite bride was the incredible Christian woman who was ready to transition into wife. My favorite wedding venue were the ones where the most genuine, helpful support was there time and again. My favorite wedding day were the ones where God was absolutely glorified during the entire day.
This year, I wiped away tears I cried over personal vows and sister maid of honor speeches. I belly laughed at hilarious best man speeches and the best dance moves from priests. I beamed as I watched father/daughter dances and first looks.
This wedding season, EVERY ONE of our 20 weddings was my favorite. EVERY BRIDE was my favorite. EVERY father's cry, EVERY mother-son dance, EVERY dinner toast, and EVERY first kiss was my favorite.
When I have the privilege to stand beside and behind EVERY incredible couples ready to pray on phone calls, before engagement sessions, and at their first look - it will always be my favorite wedding. 💕
