It’s only been 2018 for two weeks and it’s already been crazy. I started off the year badly injuring my ankle and unable to walk for a few days. A few days after that I was offered a job at one of the Universities I applied for. I was crazyyyy happy and excited (and a little terrified!). But on Friday last week The university suddenly tells me they had a huge budget cut and probably won’t be able to hire me any longer. I’m devastateddddd. The final decision will come later this week....but I don’t think it will be good news. The hiring season for universities is practically over....I feel lost.
Korea never makes it easy for foreigners. You overcome one hurdle and another is thrown at you. So everyone asks me “Why don’t you just leave?” Because as hard as it is, I still really love living in Korea. Every challenge is a new opportunity for me to learn and grow.
I’m in Seoul now for the first time in well over a year. It’s our second couple trip. A few days to clear my mind of stress is what I need to help me decide my next step. But rest assured Korea: I’m not letting you win!!!! #seoul#seoulite#coupletravel#bindaetteok#makgeolli#커플여행#서울#막걸리#빈대떡#여행#imgonnawin#부산사람
