Theoretically I knew it was possible to cross Lake Kyoga right into Busoga Kingdom and straight for Kampala the capital saving me 4 hours of my trip if I had used conventional means. I had never tried this but was ready to give it a shot and here is a gallery of shots I took as I made it back to Kampala

The waragi's alembic, a funny encounter in west Uganda. The waragi is a homemade alcohol made with bananas.
After many "cooking" it can rise to 70 degrees. It was a bit hard to climb back the hills to go home πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜²πŸ˜²

What do you do when a child bored in Uganda? Make a bow and arrow out of a rubber band and straw. This girl had killer aim. She shot a chicken from many meters away and boy did that chicken run! #onlyinafrica #iloveuganda

Last morning in country spent sitting on the deck of our treehouse reflecting on my last 3 weeks. The time has gone so fast. The best part of this last week has been to spend time with the kids. Life is so far from easy here, but to see their joy and hope in the mist of all it inspires me every time. #iloveuganda

Little Ugandan school kids arriving at the Source of the Nile for a School field trip. This was me once! They're so tiny, I just want to hug them ❀️

You know those days when you don't want to work out alone because you know you won't push yourself? Today was one of those days. This this cute boy on the right started mimicking my warm up and running beside me. I told him he had to run the whole hill. He did 6 repeats with my cool down. The last hill was an all out foot race. Think I got that workout I was looking for. #onlyinafrica #iloveuganda
