As I waded out into the water at low tide a little over an hour ago I smiled big. Not only because of the gorgeous sunrise about to happen but because of something a much loved child said over the weekend. The tide was going out and this beautiful red headed boy, whom I adore, came running out of the water and straight up the beach to his mom (my dear friend) and declared that she needed to come and see that "there is an area without water!"
The pure joy and innocence of this statement made me realize that I need to view everything through the unjaded eyes of a child.
For the rest of my life I will refer to a sandbar as an area without water and every time I do, I'll think of Brad.
