Today was the first time in a LONG time that I’ve had an IBS flare😧
Two things happened in the last week that I know contributed to this flare 👎🏻
1- I took Tylenol a couple times to relieve some headaches I’ve been having lately (weather changes)
2- I didn’t eat foods that were IBS friendly. .
See I used to have these flares 2-3 times a week sometimes lasting a short time during the day or lasting all day leaving me exhausted.
When I started to eat cleaner, I started to feel better. I changed the way I ate and started fuelling my body with fresh fruit, veggies, proteins and healthy carbs. I also started changing my breakfast and now have a smoothie loaded with pro and prebiotics to balance out the bacteria in my stomach. .
While I still had my smoothie everyday, I ate things that I haven’t had since January and my stomach is not happy. .
I don’t just eat cleaner meals because it’s good for me, I eat this way because my stomach needs it.
I let IBS control me for SO many years and now I’m taking that control back 💪🏻
