It's The Post #BlackPanther era
#TrueStoryTuesday #iknowwhoyouare : I ran an errand and was walking home when a young man, his Dad and his pit bull were approaching via the sidewalk. I stopped and said "ok, i will cross to the other side!" Then the most profound thing happened:
The young man's father proclaimed something like this: "This dog can never harm you, for you are of our ancient ancestory!" Then he looked to his son and said "This is the first African Queen I ever knew! Then he said my name "Taiwo" correctly, as they used to do when I was a kid, and reintroduced himself as a grade school classmate of ours, 25+ years ago! The conversation continued about topics of #heritage, particularly surrounding the young man that this Dad was extremely determined to do well by.
I feel honored to be an #African in America, but mostly, to be an American-born African who can help my own friends connect to Home.
I pray to plan a journey Home soon & take all who desire with me for a Medical Mission experience for little children in a little region of " #Wakanda " Nigeria, West Africa. Please pray too that GOD will reveal the right time, the right team and the right resources @namcam_agape #forfuturegenerations 🤰🏾🌟👶🏾🌟👦🏾🌟🏃🏾♂️
